Black Walnut Log Sale

This sale of 14 black walnut logs was completed in February 2021. The following is an advertisement that was sent out.

Summary

14 Black Walnut logs
Approximately 1610 board feet (Scribner)
10″ to 22″ diameter inside bark
6′ to 20′ length

Cut in December 2020. Several of the logs were salvaged from trees that were uprooted in 2019 and suspended above ground.

Bids are to be submitted on a lump-sum basis. Bids may be submitted in one of the following ways:

Sealed bids are preferred, either hand-delivered or mailed to ______________________, and should be submitted in sealed envelope marked: Log Bid: ___________ Log Sale.

No phone, fax, or verbal bids will be accepted. Bids will be received until Friday, January 15th, 2021, at 4:00 PM. Bid opening will be shortly after, at ___________________. Landowners reserve the right to reject any and all bids. The winning bidder will be expected to sign a written sale contract within 10 business days of notification of winning bid. Full payment at contract signing is preferred, but alternate arrangements can be negotiated upon request.
